ECOTURISMO EN PANAMA

This beautiful archipelago has numerous paradisiacal islands where you can camp, each island is managed by a family or group, so there is an entrance tax that ranges between $ 2.00 and $ 5.00 dollars

How to get?

The road trip from Panama City to the coast of Guna Yala lasts approximately 2:30 hours.

The Llano de Cartí is the most used land transport route to travel to Guna Yala. In addition to the asphalted road, you must take the Tocumen road in the direction of the Tocumen International Airport. When you reach the end of the road you must turn to the left towards La 24 de diciembre.

If you go through the corredor sur you will pass the  Riande Continental Aeropuerto hotel in the direction to La 24 de Diciembre . You will also see it signposted towards Darién., Continue without deviating on the main road until you reach the ABC gas station in Margaritas de Chepo (you will see it on the right).

10-15 minutes later on the main road. After the Community of El Llano, you will find a sign on the left side of the road that indicates the entrance to the road that leads to Guna Yala. The road has no detours, it is a straight line through the Guna mountain range that goes directly to the coast of Cartí.

If you want to go by air you must take the plane at Marcos A. Gelabert Airport in Albrook, to El Porvenir Island. At this point you will find people who offer transportation service to Guna Yala. The flight lasts approximately 30 minutes and is offered by Air Panama.





The YeguadaThis fascinating place is located in the province of Veraguas. It is a perfect place to camp since you will be surrounded by beautiful pine trees, you will have access to drinking water and there are places where you can make bonfires.

How to get to La Yeguada?La Yeguada is 50 kilometers from the Panamericana, to get there you must turn right on El Jagüito (the entrance to Jagüito comes after El Roble), 15 kilometers after Aguadulce. You must go through Calobre to get to La Yeguada, Calobre is the last town before La Yeguada. And it's 20 kilometers from that town to the lake. Calobre is 30 kilometers from the Panamericana. You'll see signs all the way.
